Baumer supplies mechanical temperature measurement instruments filled with gas, suitable for use up to 800°C or with bi-metal strip technology for use up to 600°C. Gas-filled thermometers are suitable for direct mounting or may be used with capillaries up to 15 m long. Bimetallic technology thermometers are available with transducers which can be positioned vertically, horizontally or at any other angle, with a maximum transducer length of 1000 mm.
Are you looking for a reliable Mechanical Thermometer Gauge? Petrotek got you covered! Our mechanical temperature measurement Gauges are suitable for capillaries up to 15m long and applicable for direct mounting. Bimetallic technology thermometers are also available with transducers which can be placed horizontally, vertically or at any angle you prefer with a maximum length of 1000mm.
You can choose from a variety of gauges selections here at Petrotek.
A mechanical thermometer measurement instrument utilizes an internal tube of a Bourdon. At the one end of the Bourdon, the tube is connected to the shaft and gear assembly that moves to a pointer. The pressure inside the Bourdon tube will increase, and the Bourdon tube slightly uncoils. The number of uncoiling that happens is proportional to the certain pressure inside the Bourdon tube.
When the tube uncoils, the motion activates both the shaft and the gear that will turn the pointer of the gauge. All that you can see on the gauge is the moving pointer; you should understand that the small tube (bourdon tube) will coil and uncoil with the change of the pressure which is inside the tube.
Mechanical thermometer gauges are directly connected to the fluid (process) that is being measured. When this process fluid affects the pressure on the Bourdon tube, this also changes in the gauge.
A bourdon tube is utilized in the process as well. A Mechanical thermometer gauge has a sealed bulb and capillary tube assembled and filled with sensitive fluid. This fluid produces the proportional vapor pressure on the Bourdon tube. As the temperature alters, the pressure inside the bourdon tube also changes and moves the pointer of the gauge.
